OTTAWA -- Kaetlyn Osmond won her second consecutive women's singles title at the Canadian figure skating championships Saturday, and officially secured her spot in the Sochi Olympics.
The 18-year-old from Marystown, N.L., battled back from two injuries that kept her off for much of the past four months, to score 207.28 points.
Gabrielle Daleman, a 15-year-old from Newmarket, Ont., provided the surprise of the event, passing Amelie Lacoste in the long program to finish second with 182.47.
Lacoste, from Delson, Que., was third with 166.69.
Canada has two women's berths at the Sochi Olympics. The team will be announced Sunday.
