Four places in the next round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018 are up for grabs – and only one has been claimed so far. With Germany the only team to have qualified for the quarter-finals ahead of the last day of matches in Groups C and D, and only Haiti no longer able to progress, the battle for the last three spots in the last eight is wide open.
Spain are in the strongest position in Group C, with six points to their name. A draw against USA will be enough for Pedro Lopez’s side to move on to the next round. The same is true for Nigeria in Group D. While the Africans’ superior goal difference means they only have to avoid defeat to China PR to start planning for the quarter-finals, their opponents will definitely want to have a say in the matter.
Find on the Media Channel the Regulations for the quarter-finals qualification.
